52 year male suffering from Stones inside Liver and that too in Caudate lobe ( a deep part of Liver ) along with Gallstones which eat up the bile duct over time of 4 years leading to Mirizzi type 3 ( fistula between gallbladder and bile duct ) giving rise to stricture and recurrent problems for patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They want to treatment to many places accross doctors of India and finally decided to come to KOLKATA ALL THE WAY FROM JHARKHAND with hope of solution to Dr Suddhasattwa Sen,\u00a0\u00a0 senior GI HPB COLORECTAL AND CANCER SURGEREON .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was diagnosed to have extreme stage of Recurrent pyogenic cholangitis\/ RPC with stones in both livers and caudate branches and with Mirizzi 3 where stone from Gallbladder almost ate upto into bile duct by prrforation causing stricture and dilated above ducts and jaundice\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A complex surgery was done to Moy only take out most stones from all parts of liver with on table microscopy but also entire bile ducts cut out along with Gallbladder and high Left Duct Hilar Hepaticojejunostomy with Roux en Y jejunojejunostomy done . Surgery was completed in just 1.5 hrs instead of 5 hrs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A young female with history of FAP ( Familial Adenomatous Polyposis Coli ) which is a disease of APC gene location 5 leading to multiple pre malignant polyps in entire colon and 100 % chances of colon cancer by usually age of 30 latest and usually runs in siblings too in family and hence needs early diagnosis and removal of entire Colon by total colectomy followed by Ileal Pouch formation ( akin to artificially created rectum to create a space for stool accumulation ) and anastomosis to anus ie joining to anus to allow passage of stool normally from below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was operated at age of 19 at SGPGIMS Lucknow ( An apex GI HPB and Colorectal Centre of International standards and repute and by a Famous GI surgeon Prof Dr Anu Behari ) and was very Succesful life since then .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately landed up with a new tumor at Pouch anal junction 11 years later and Prof Behari was kind enough to have faith on us and referred case to Dr Suddhasattwa Sen for re do surgery . Patient hailing from UP Lucknow came to Kolkata by choice and other reasons as well .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Successful surgery was done by the removal of tumor and Pouch and anus and part of vaginal Posterior ie back wall as tumor was extending into it even after 6 months of Neoadjuvant ChemoRadiotherapy but at least became operable.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
